Billie's place looks like a Giant Ginger Bread house shimmering with holiday lights and coated in snow. Billie reminds me of my grandma, very warm, caring and nice lady. The hostel is clean and cozy and (I was) happy to return home from adventure every night. In just a short 4 days, I quickly became friend with all the tenants in the hostel. Our diverse group of Vietnamese, Brazilian, French and Indian shared endless interesting conversation about travel, life and dreams. Billie definitely gave me a place to warm my heart in the -40 degree weather and I will definitely come back again. If you are solo traveler, this is a great place for you to stay. It's a much better experience and value than staying in the hotel or at the hot springs. The only thing that I regret from this trip is booking some of my tours online in advance. Billie has the contact of all the local tours around and you can always book them 1 day in advance or even on the day of. The local tour guide are a lot more personal and friendlier so you can really support the local business and meet great people who know where they live very well.  - Kim, Nov. 2016
