Fairbanks City BUS    (MACS)

The hostel is ONE BLOCK from the city bus route. Ask the driver to let you off at the Westwood Way stop)

for an inexpensive way to get around and explore the Fairbanks area.

 

& BACK TO THE HOSTEL.....

the Red or Blue route will get you to the hostel.  Just ask the driver to let you off at WESTWOOD WAY!


HOW TO GET TO THE HOSTEL

   ...   I AM ARRIVING INTO FAIRBANKS BY :

AIR: 
Fairbanks International Airport
Taxi    The hostel is located about 10 minutes from the Fairbanks International Airport.  Step 
            outside the terminal and you will see taxi's at your service. $18 approx.
Bus    Use the YELLOW line and transfer at the University of Alaska Museum to the RED LINE.   
Walk:  Its about 3 miles.   Walk down airport road (the only road out of the airport).  Take a LEFT
            onto University Ave. Take a RIGHT onto College Road.  Take a RIGHT onto Westwood  
            Way.  You are HERE!
 

RAIL:

Alaska Railroad Depot    1745 Johansen Expy.,  Fairbanks, AK 99701
Fairbanks' Rail Depot is located in an industrial area, but close to the hostel.  The best way to get to/from the Rail Station to the hostel is by city bus, taxi or walking.  
    Bus        When you arrive at the depot, ask at the information booth for the current bus 
                   schedule or click on link here.  
    Taxi       Outside the depot you will see several taxi's at your service. $14 approx. 

    Walk     About a 1.5 mile walk. From depot, walk north along Danby to College Rd.
                   Make a left on College.  Walk to "WESTWOOD WAY".  Make a left.  We are 
                   the first house on the left.  30 minutes.

 

SHUTTLE:

From Anchorage, Denali, Whitehorse, Tok

Ask your driver to drop you off directly at our door. 


 

FERRY:

Alaska State Ferry
Yes, Fairbanks is several hundred miles from the ocean, BUT if you arrive in Alaska via the Alaska Marine Highway into  Skagway, Haines, Valdez, or Seward there may be direct or connecting shuttles to Fairbanks.  This seems to change from year to year.  Check with Alaska Direct Bus Lines  or the Fairbanks Visitor Center for the most current information.
