Bilie was born in Fairbanks, and after raising 7 children, and countless foster children, this home now welcomes travelers from across the world.
Billie opened her home way back in the early 1970’s as a Boarding House for workers on the Trans-Alaska Pipeline.
In 1991, Billie’s became one of Alaska’s very first hostels.
Since then, thousands of visitors, each on their own journey have walked through these doors, all adding to the remarkably rich history of this special place.
